Roadside Attraction signs were originally placed at select locations across Route 66 in all 8 states in the early 2000s by Hampton Inn’s Save a Landmark Program. The tour drove down 66 hosting events like cleanup projects in addition to installing their “Roadside Attraction” signs.
After several years outside and in the Arizona sun, these signs were in need of replacing. The Association replaced the Arizona Roadside Attraction signs and added new signage in 2019. If you would like to nominate a roadside attraction in Arizona to receive a designated sign, please compete the form and email to [email protected]. The Association will print signs annually. The attraction will need to provide a space for hanging the 2 signs and the method of attachment either on the building or on poles cemented into the ground.
